About Us

There Is Something
for Everyone at
The Sandlots of Salem

I wanted to create a place where adults could unwind and have fun too. That’s where our bar and restaurant come in. We serve countless brews and conjure more than your typical pub fare. You can enjoy a high-quality meal and watch sports on any of our 15 high-definition TVs. You can use our diamond too! We rent it to companies for teambuilding exercises and kickball tournaments, and you can use us for birthday parties – no matter the age. In the past, we have hosted successful fundraising events for meaningful charitable organizations throughout the area, making us an inseparable part of the community. And, of course, youth baseball and softball leagues can schedule tournaments, and teams can book time for practices. Welcome to the Sandlots of Salem.

Passing Our Love for Baseball to the Next Generation

When I look back on my youth, I realize those summer days are some of my life’s most exciting and strongest memories. I’m a parent now, but I have never lost that feeling. There have been few things more rewarding than watching my children discover the same passion for the game I had, and I enjoyed passing that legacy on. I started The Sandlots of Salem to continue watching kids enjoy the sport I loved so much. They learn important lessons about teamwork, self-confidence, and dedication through the sport, and parents and the community can watch with pride as that happens. The Sandlots of Salem is where everyone comes together.

Our Dream Is Your Dream.

Everyone wants to recapture their youth – and their glory days. If yours center on the baseball or softball diamond, if your best memories include fly balls caught or doubles crushed into the gap, then come to our facility. I have the same relationship with the national pastime you do. I grew up in the 80s, during the era when Don Sutton, Robin Yount, and Paul Molitor roamed the ballpark. My friends and I played countless summer hours playing the game in open fields with no formal markings. The first base was a mailbox or a tree, and when we hit a neighbor’s house, we’d clubbed a homerun and ran around our improvised basepaths. We created our field dreams in our backyards. I haven’t lost that sense of wonder, so I created The Sandlots of Salem.
